- 四善根
- catuṣ-kuśala-mūla, the four good roots, or sources from which spring good fruiy or development. In Hīnayāna they form the stage after [lang id =1028]總相念住 as represented by the [lang id =1028]倶舍 and [lang id =1028]成實; in Mahāyāna it is the final stage of the [lang id =1028]十廻向 as represented by the [lang id =1028]法相宗. There are also four similar stages connected with (sa) śrāvaka, (sa) pratyekabuddha, and Buddha, styled [lang id =1028]三品四善根. The four of the [lang id =1028]倶舍宗 are [lang id =1028]煗法, [lang id =1028]頂法, [lang id =1028]忍法, and [lang id =1028]世第一法. The four of the [lang id =1028]成實宗 are the same, but are applied differently. The [lang id =1028]法相宗 retains the same four terms, but connects them with the four (sa) dhyāna stages of the [lang id =1028]真唯識觀 in its four first [lang id =1028]加行 developments.* * *1.指小乘之暖、 頂、 忍、 世第一法。 聲聞乘行人修五停心觀及四念處觀之後, 接著須修四諦觀。 當無漏智火將生, 心中光明啟發之時, 名為暖位; 進而智慧增長, 達於頂點, 名為頂位; 再進而明四諦之理, 其心堅住, 決定不移, 名為忍位; 更進而到達有漏智的最終點, 在世間有情之中, 最為殊勝, 名為世第一法。 3.指大乘之暖、 頂、 忍、 世第一法。 以佛覺為己心, 如火欲燃, 名為暖; 以自心成佛, 如登高山, 身入虛空, 下有微礙, 名為頂; 印持無所取之境, 順忍所無取之心識, 名為忍(暖位以佛覺為己心, 頂位以自心為佛境, 忍位則覺於中道); 由此更進, 則迷覺兩忘, 中邊不立, 雖未至初地見道之出世間, 然已到世間的最後邊際, 縱屬有漏, 但在世間已是第一, 名世第一。 在此大乘暖、 頂、 忍、 世第一四位之中, 前二位修四尋思觀, 觀所取空, 後二位修四如實智, 觀能所二取皆空。
